Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing outstanding guest services from start to finish Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, and service stations by bussing and resetting tables efficiently Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling, sanitation, and food preparation procedures Assist in food delivery from kitchen to table, supporting kitchen staff when needed with basic food prep or bussing tasks Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and providing personalized service Support the team during busy hours by managing multiple tables effectively while maintaining a lively and energetic atmosphere

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and processing Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that energizes the team and guests alike Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours Basic math skills for cashiering duties including cash handling and change calculation Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards within the food industry Experience in serving at nightclubs or similar lively venues is advantageous Familiarity with food industry terminology related to food handling, preparation, and guest services Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism
