Job Overview

We are seeking a full time professional and personable Server to join our Fishbones team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, knowledge of our food and wines, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a casual-fine dining restaurant setting. Prior experience with POS systems and food industry standards is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Manage guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness in service stations Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, including fine dining or nightclub settings Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse clientele Experience with food handling, sanitation procedures, and basic math for cashiering and cash handling tasks Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation practices Previous roles such as host/host or busser are beneficial but not required Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
