About the Role

As a Systems Engineer, you will be working with colleagues from Elsevier\xe2\x80\x99s Technology organization. Working collaboratively, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be delivering shared solutions for infrastructure operations across our products and services. You will assist in the design, build and maintenance of application stacks for product teams working in this space.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating within a application team to build and maintain the right cloud infrastructure architecture, balancing performance, resilience with cost.
• Working within an Agile team, to help drive outcomes.
• Working at scale with shifting timelines and priorities.
• Scoping of requirements and defining a delivery plan for infrastructure
• Ongoing improvement of the operational maturity of teams.

Requirements

• Have expert level Linux administration skills. Windows skills will be utilized as well.
• Have current provisioning / Infrastructure as Code \xe2\x80\x93 skilled in use for Terraform (or similar CloudFormation)
• Experience with Containers / Container Orchestration \xe2\x80\x93 Docker, Kubernetes or similar tools
• Able to build and deploying code with Jenkins or similar tools, that allow for rapid release of high-quality software.
