Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a senior structural engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our dynamic team and embark on an exciting journey leading our team! We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to contribute their expertise to multiple projects in our organization. As part of our team, you will be responsible for a wide range of impactful tasks including \xe2\x80\x93 successful execution of our projects, continuous improvement of our operations, and effective management of our mechanical and structural engineering design team. The projects you will be working on may only take a month to complete or larger more complex projects may take a year or more of your skills and knowledge to bring to completion. The wide variety of industries you will be demonstrating your craft in are commercial, industrial, utility, midstream, petrochemical, mining, minerals, material handling, food processing, agricultural, power, electrical distribution, and municipal facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Self-motivating personality with good communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Regular client interaction and coordination
  • Technical support to projects and staff as they grow professionally.
  • Effectively communicate and foster relationships with your team members and your clients including industry stakeholders and regulars.
  • Guide and lead your team of engineers and designers to support the current project listing.
Detailed Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Utilize your exceptional design and mechanical engineering skills to deliver top-notch solutions for various projects.
  • Prepare and present technical equipment data sheets, demonstrating your attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Craft technical equipment specifications, showcasing your ability to meet project requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Evaluate vendors\' technical bids and recommendations, ensuring that we partner with the best suppliers in the industry.
  • Carefully review vendor drawings, taking charge of the assigned project segment with precision and expertise.
  • Engage actively in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations, contributing valuable insights to enhance project outcomes.
  • Drive operational excellence by providing crucial information and recommendations to strategic plans, implementing action plans, and improving production, quality standards, and productivity.
  • Demonstrate your problem-solving skills by resolving issues and conducting thorough audits to identify trends and areas for system improvements.
  • Contribute to our financial objectives by efficiently managing your resources and budgets to achieve project success.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an applicable engineering field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience with structural systems and design.
  • Currently licensed as a professional civil engineer in a US state. A current licensed structural engineering license is beneficial.
  • Your experience in the preparation of work plans, budgets and project schedules is highly desired.
  • Travel requirements will be job dependent as you focus on the development of your team and your customers.

Annual Salary Range: $108,000 - $182,000
