Based in Minneapolis, the team combines data, design, and retail expertise to drive measurable growth and deliver strategies that move brands forward.

Position Overview

---------------------

As a

Sales Director

on the CPG by MPG team, you'll be the strategic heartbeat behind our client partnerships -- leading key relationships, uncovering growth opportunities, and connecting brand strategies with retail execution to deliver measurable business results.

You'll collaborate across category management, creative, and analytics teams to bring insights to life, influencing how brands show up, sell, and grow at retail. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, loves problem-solving, and takes pride in turning complex challenges into tangible wins.

Key Responsibilities

Lead key client relationships and sales strategies that drive profitable business results. Translate data into actionable insights, identifying opportunities and guiding strategic decisions. Partner cross-functionally with analytics, creative, and account teams to deliver excellence in retail execution at Target and beyond. Mentor Account Managers and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Build trusted relationships with clients, retail partners, and internal teams to fuel long-term success. Anticipate challenges, proactively solve problems, and keep business moving forward with confidence. Bring curiosity, energy, and ownership to every initiative -- your ideas drive results you can see.

Experience and Education

----------------------------

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. 5-8+ years of experience in sales, account management, or client services -- ideally within CPG, retail, or agency environments. Strong understanding of retail dynamics, category management, and omnichannel commerce. Proven success managing multiple clients, priorities, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external audiences. Experience working with Target or other major retailers preferred. Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred:

Previous leadership experience mentoring or managing account teams. Familiarity with sales analytics tools, syndicated data, and retail media platforms. Experience collaborating across creative, analytics, and merchandising teams.

Why You'll Succeed:

-----------------------

You're a relationship-driven problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You love translating insights into action, managing partnerships with creativity and confidence, and finding new ways to help brands win at retail. You're naturally curious, thrive on teamwork, and take pride in seeing your work come to life -- on shelves, online, and in results that matter.
