Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation\'s top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital\'s staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Center for Practice Excellence (CPE)provides consultation and direction to managers and staff for professional practice issues. The CPE coordinates delivery of care standards, patient and family education, policy and procedure, and quality monitoring. The CPE designs, implements, and evaluates educational programs that include nursing orientation, patient care technician training, preceptor, mentor, and acute care. The CPErepresents nursing on multiple interdisciplinary teams and projects and coordinates clinical placement for area nursing programs as well as the Nursing Magnet program and the BJH/UHC Nurse Residency Program.

Assists leads and managers of performance improvement projects in order to accomplish measureable business process improvements. Employs performance improvement/transformation methodology, tools and techniques in organization operations in order to accomplish business objectives while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Responsibilities * Manages and provides consultation and support to system-wide improvement teams, functions and departments related to transformation and performance improvement initiatives.
