Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The ideal qualified applicant will become part of Department of State (DOS) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to provide IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting CA services globally.

The Senior Network Manager will be a member of the CA/CST CAEIO Engineering Team, responsible for providing personnel and task management of Network Engineers and working closely with other CAEIO team members, application/system owners, and Government Leadership to ensure Consular Affairs mission success. This position is located in Sterling, VA (near Dulles Airport) and while it does allow for Telework, the employee is expected to be in the office at least 1 day a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership, task management, people leadership, and life-cycle engineering support (design, development, testing, integration, maintenance) for network technology stacks including F5 and Broadcom Layer 7 devices in support of a diverse set of web applications in the DOS/CA environment.
  • Manage and prioritize Network ServiceNow queue of Incidents and Requests. This work involves working closely with Engineers to ensure resolution in accordance with contract SLA and SLOs.
  • Provide escalation engineering/Tier III support of Department of State modernized applications on current and future network stacks and technologies.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture, cloud, and modernization working groups.
  • Work closely with senior architects and systems engineers to build and maintain enterprise capabilities in support of Consular Affairs applications and services.
  • Manage the team\'s use of SAFE Agile methodology and tools (Jazz/Jira) in support of Network Engineering.
  • Prepare monthly Network Engineering highlights in collaboration with the Engineering Lead.
  • Manage and perform engineering and operational duties to include architecting, installing, configuring, and supporting network appliances and ensuring network availability, capacity, and performance.
  • Ensure all Engineering designs and implementations developed by engineers follow approved change management processes and security configuration guidelines.
  • Respond to government customers\xe2\x80\x99 quick turn-around tasks and ad hoc data calls.
  • Work closely with the Core Platforms Lead and Engineering Director to prioritize network engineering efforts.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship and an active SECRET or Top-Secret clearance Government Security Clearance.
  • 3-5 years management experience of engineers in large enterprise operations environment.
  • 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience performing lifecycle network engineering/administration in support of hosts, network devices/appliances, and enterprise applications.
  • 3-5 years\' experience with Broadcom F5 GTMs and LTMs or Layer 7 API Gateways (alternate API gateways or management platforms is acceptable).
  • Ability to work in high tempo environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Industry relevant certifications in Networking or Security.
  • Experience with Department of State.
Education and Experience: BS degree and 12-15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience or MS degree and 10-13 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience or high school diploma/equivalent and minimum16 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
