The Role:
We are looking for a leader with a vision to drive marketing value! This leader will set the strategy for Collectibles, focusing on Sports Trading Cards and memorabilia (NBA, NFL, NHL and NBL) creating high-level go-to-market plans coupled with flawless execution of campaigns. They will be responsible for annual planning, driving an agenda with a long-term outlook, and staying focused on achieving business objectives.
Key focus areas include connecting teams and proactively creating and building extended relationships with cross-functional partners to help near-term goals. This individual should have a bias toward action and clear ability to make informed \xe2\x80\x9cin-room\xe2\x80\x9d decisions on behalf of marketing while driving consensus and obtaining buy-in from key cross functional stakeholders along the way.
This role should have a love of Sports, obsession for keeping the consumer at the core of everything we do, and desire to constantly improve and optimize the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide thought leadership for marketing strategy, cross-channel go-to-market plans, and a marketing learning agenda, consistent with the eBay strategic plan
Manage a team of marketing managers; build culture, foster high employee engagement, set goals, coach and develop talent, and ensure the team is set up for success to deliver on plan
Lead the development of holistic marketing plans (including media strategy, creative strategy, and learning agenda) and provide oversight for marketing execution (ie email, onsite, paid media, incentives and more)
Foster an environment of innovation to identify new opportunities, solve business challenges, and increase customer engagement
Ensure optimal customer experience through customer feedback, oversight on end-to-end QA process and continuous monitoring
Oversee of end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, from campaign planning and execution to results and implications
Partner with analytics to establish measurement methodologies and to inform stakeholders on results, make data driven decisions for continuous improvement and identification of new opportunities
Maintain good relationships with key stakeholders across the Business Unit as well as internal and external cross-functional partners, engaging them at the appropriate points, communicating effectively with them, and managing their expectations and requirements.
Requirements:
College degree required, MBA a plus
6+ years of experience in go-to-market planning Brand or Sports marketing, Product Marketing & CRM experience a plus, Passion or professional experience in the Sports arena is a preferred
2+ years experience of team management
Ability to juggle, evaluate trade-offs, and create prioritization hierarchy across the categories based on objectives to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Shown success in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and highly competitive industry
Performance focused individual with experience working from concept to completion, dealing with ambiguity and working toward clarity, while maintaining high quality in outcomes and a strong sense of accountability
Demonstrated project management experience; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to plan and prioritize
Ability to build relationships, collaborate, influence across all levels/functions/geographies/internal/external
Extraordinary interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in large and small settings
Interest in collectibles and resale preferred
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below. $144,000 - $216,150
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
