Job Description

We are working with an exciting new client that operate within the manufacturing, logistics distribution and supply chain industry. They mainly manufacture retail products and whilst the HQ is in Hong Kong, they are looking for a Senior Manager/Director of Accounting and Finance to join the team in Midtown Manhattan. The role is hybrid (2-3 days in office) and will offer an excellent exposure to the successful candidate.
The successful Senior Manager/Director of Accounting and Finance will:

• As business partner, closely work with business team to develop strategies, optimize costs and mitigate risks, and provide insights that support decision-making and drive business improvement.
• Serving as primary finance liaison to the Hong Kong headquarters, ensure timely and accurate management reporting, seamless communication and alignment with global financial strategy and policies
• Oversee statutory and management reporting (monthly, quarterly and yearly), consolidation, budgeting, and accounting operations.
• Manage key US external relationships for finance, including banking and tax consultants
• Lead the organization's Financial Planning and Analysis function.
• Manage credit insurance and risk evaluation.
• Oversee local tax compliance, tax planning and treasury function
• Set strategies for finance transformation and process improvement to enhance productivity, transparency and effectiveness
• Lead a small Finance team located at multiple locations including New York, Greensboro, NC, Hong Kong and Guangzhou China.

The successful Senior Manager/Director of Accounting and Finance will:

• Have approximately 10 year's of experience in finance, with approximately 5 year's experience a managerial role (MUST be from a similar industry - retail, CPG, manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals etc.)
• MUST have excellent Excel skills and knowledge
• Prior working knowledge of the ERP system JD Edwards One (highly desirable, not essential)
• Hands on experience managing the full monthly close and accounting cycle
• Strong tax and compliance knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The client are a global manufacturing business, that specialize in the production of retail (apparel) products for a number of global brands across Asia, Europe and the United States. They are looking for a Senior Manager/Director of Accounting and Finance to lead the finance function and set startegy for the team/business alongside the CFO.
The company has a brilliant culture fit, hybrid working, and is looking for a dynamic candidate, willing to roll-up their sleeves and get heavily involved in the finance and accounting processes. On top of that, there will be a lot of ad hoc work alongside the SVP of Business Operations and the global/group CFO. The Assistant Director will report directly into you.

• $170,000 - 175,000
