Company Overview Tango Therapeutics is a biotechnology company dedicated to discovering novel drug targets and delivering the next generation of precision medicine for the treatment of cancer. Using an approach that starts and ends with patients, Tango leverages the genetic principle of synthetic lethality to discover and develop therapies that take aim at critical targets in cancer. This includes expanding the universe of precision oncology targets into novel areas such as tumor suppressor gene loss and their contribution to the ability of cancer cells to evade immune cell killing. The Tango labs and offices are located at 201 Brookline Avenue, in the Fenway area of Boston, Massachusetts Your role: Internal communications and employee engagement
You will act as an internal reporter, helping to bring to life the stories behind our headlines and find dynamic ways to share those stories with employees
Take the baton to lead existing employee communication channels, including:
Programming, logistics, speaker preparation, and planning for quarterly town halls and monthly Tango Connects sessions
Writing and evolving the monthly employee newsletter
Helping to buildout and evolve the company\'s first intranet to become the premier source of news and information within Tango
Build upon our internal editorial program with an eye toward creative and engaging content ideas that align with science-driven culture; be open to experimenting with new, creative ways
to reach employees and help to cut through the clutter with prioritized company initiatives and information
Work with a cross-functional internal team to coordinate onsite employee events and activities, including culture and volunteer-focused events
Drive a data-driven, technology forward approach to everything you do, including ensuring a consistent feedback loop with employees to understand impacts of campaigns and opportunities to iterate strategies that best resonate
External communications
Serve as the lead communicator for highlighting our people externally, including through award nominations and social media strategies
Support development and buildout of websites to support disease area awareness, with an eye toward evolving to include advocacy and patient resources
Support the head of communications in other external communications activities as needed \xe2\x80\x93 this role is highly adaptable to ensure it provides dynamic opportunities for growth and development

What you bring:
8- 10 years of experience in communications required, preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, or strong life sciences agency experience
A zest for understanding drug discovery and development and breaking down complex scientific concepts into language that\'s accessible and engaging
Excellent PowerPoint skills
An eye for design and ability to use tools like Canva; advanced tools such as Adobe would be great but not required
Strategic thinker\xe2\x80\x94someone who can connect the dots to overall vision and objectives
Aptitude for influencing others and getting people on board with an idea or direction and the ablity to build relationships with people across the organization
Strong leadership with an emphasis on collaboration, proactivity, and flexibility, and able to influence people to accomplish goals
Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously
