Job Description



Essential Functions- may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform timely and accurate underwriting of applications on Indirect Auto loans submitted to BCI from our network of auto dealers to determine customer credit worthiness.
  • Support small business lending group as needed.
  • Review and evaluate all application data to determine that the applicant satisfactorily meets all applicable underwriting criteria, including debt-to-income ratios, loan-to-value ratios, credit score, vehicle valuation, while assessing and identifying any risk issues (including credit, collateral and legal risk) along with the potential for fraud.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate credit reports to confirm the applicant\xe2\x80\x99s identity (OFAC) and validate the applicant\xe2\x80\x99s information.
  • Evaluate applicant credit, determine the applicants(s) willingness and ability to repay the loan, including review, analysis and evaluation of all applicant credit information to determine qualification for the loan amount and term requested.
  • Impose credit conditions on loan approvals when a loan does not fit credit criteria but with some adjustment in term, additional cash commitment or documentation the loan can be brought back to within lending guidelines.
  • Decline credit applications on loans that do not meet credit criteria.
  • Work with dealers to rehash applications in an effort to structure loans in a way that will allow for us to approve or conditionally approve the loan.
  • Assist junior lenders with their training and development, passing on knowledge of the BCI program to ensure compliance and consistency in lending decisions
  • Work in conjunction with the funding team to assure loans requiring review and updates in the LOS are handled and returned to the funding team in a timely manner to ensure same day funding when possible
  • Complete monthly review of all charged off loan files to identify if there was anything about the loan that may have been missed during the initial lending process
  • Manage the Bankruptcy process including all notices to the court and documenting of the loan in Precision.
  • Primary person responsible for handling the research and response to the credit bureaus on E-Oscar disputes received from consumers and credit reporting agencies.
  • Provide quarterly reports for management to perform Fair Lending review along with daily and monthly reports used to calculate daily performance recaps and monthly sales rep commissions.
  • Review dealer agreements for completeness and accuracy and present to management for final review and signoff.
  • Provide support and maintenance for Decision Lender and Landslide. Reviewing and adding new dealers/users when applicable.
  • Complete an annual review of all Independent auto dealers to ensure compliant and financially stable.
  • Assist in the tracking, collection and follow up of after sale cancelation on prepaid loans and repossessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Educations and Experience:
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing across a variety of audiences

  • This is a hybrid position with 4 days remote, two days a week until 7PM, and two Saturdays 9-5 along with sharing time on most Bank holidays.
