Your Opportunity

Are you interested in applying your engineering skills to design green infrastructure to improve water quality and support communities? Do you like working as part of integrated design teams with ecologists, landscape architects, and scientists to design high-performance projects in complex ecological settings? Are you looking for a leadership opportunity and to grow your project management skills? Then this role is for you.

As a Senior Engineer, you will join a team of experienced, creative, and mission driven designers working on diverse projects across the landscape from the urban realm to the upper watershed. You will be responsible to variously lead and support:
  • The planning and design of green stormwater infrastructure retrofits in the urban realm
  • The planning and design of regional stormwater facilities
  • Green infrastructure program support and development of design guidance
  • General civil site development engineering design for high performance green buildings, parks, trails, and open space
  • Stormwater conveyance system modeling and design
  • Project management for projects seeking high water quality performance, those in complex ecological settings, and which support communities of all types
Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications
  • 12-20 years of civil engineering and stormwater design experience; a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in civil/environmental engineering, and be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimate (PS&E) packages for public and private stormwater management facilities and/or site development civil engineering projects
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience with AutoCAD / Civil3D
  • Experience with the preparation of stormwater design reports
  • Experience with Hydraulic and Hydrologic stormwater modeling
  • Engineering design experience on site civil development and linear transportation projects
  • Experience coordinating among client, agencies, subconsultants, and allied professions
  • Commitment to staying current with technical and regulatory developments in the dynamic field of stormwater management and green building
  • Strong team collaboration, clear written and verbal communication abilities, and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with business development and proposal writing
  • A passion for developing sustainable solutions to complex water resource problems for public and private clients
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in civil/environmental engineering
  • Experience with planning and/or design of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) and low impact development (LID) practices
  • If candidate does not have this experience, training and mentorship will be provided

  • This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the salary range is $137,535 - $179,935 annually
