Job Summary:

The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. This role is on the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team which supports a growing company of 41 resorts across Australia, Canada, Switzerland and the United States, and a market capitalization of over $9 billion. Our FP&A organization brings best-in-class insight generation, data-driven decision-making support and financial management to Vail Resorts - the ski industry\'s global leader.

The SG&A Finance team is hiring a Senior Finance Manager focused on executing against the highest priority strategic initiatives across corporate functions. The role will partner with senior executive stakeholders and be an integral member of project teams. A successful team member will engage with stakeholders on projects that create enterprise wide impact. The Finance team works closely with the CFO and other C-suite executives of the Company to ensure integrity of data governance and management practices, drive business insights, and support strategic decision making. Specifically, this role will report to the Senior Director of Finance - SG&A.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnering & Strategic Analysis
  • Partner with C-suite executives across corporate functions, focusing on targeted strategic initiatives prioritized by the Executive Committee. Examples include enterprise wide labor investments, strategic planning and major capital planning projects associated with innovation and technology roadmaps.
  • The Senior Manager will provide critical business support, inform decision making, and provide strategic direction
  • Develop innovative and impactful analyses, tools, processes and procedures to facilitate and monitor business performance
  • Provide support to the SG&A team to help drive improvements in service of creating repeatable, efficient processes and analysis
  • Budgeting / Forecasting / Financial Close
  • Partner with various leadership teams to develop comprehensive annual operating and capital budgets, specifically with respect to focused initiatives and strategic opportunities
  • Produce KPI dashboard and reporting capabilities that drive actionable business insights
  • Lead the monthly forecast meetings with leadership teams, providing trend analyses, forecast recommendations and assessment of risks and opportunities for strategic initiatives
Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience (or 1-2 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance or accounting
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required (MBA preferred), preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes

  • Demonstrates a natural curiosity around business results and insights while consistently identifying ways to improve data management governance and processes, reporting capabilities, and stakeholder communication
  • Outstanding academic credentials and problem solving skills with a record of accomplishment and excellence
  • Excellent individual initiative and objective-oriented drive with strong propensity for attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment with high energy and positive mindset
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,100 - $121,305 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
