The Opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a seasonal Senior Event Operations Coordinator to join us at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Senior Event Operations Coordinator , you will work with our associates and guests to plan and execute events at the property. You will use your organizational and time management skills to create lasting memories for guests attending a variety of events.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with and works at the direction of management for the successful execution of events
• Coordinates the efforts of the event operations team
• Engages with the event operations team in duties to ensure standards and timelines are met to achieve event readiness
• Assists the Catering Manager with the creation of prep lists
• Maintains the inventory of equipment, small wares, linens, and other items - following up on needs for repair, replacement, general upkeep
• Attends and contributes to weekly meetings within the department and with the building partner(s)
• Complies with and enforces standards for the catering warehouse and walk-in locations
• Assists with laundry and inventory processes
• Manages event day operations as needed
• Administers pre-shift meetings as directed
• Replenishes buffet food, refills beverages, removes dirty dishes from tables
• Completes event closing duties
• Assists in additional tasks to help facilitate smooth and efficient service
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience required
• Previous event setup/execution experience required
• Customer service oriented with a positive attitude; a willingness to learn; and a commitment to ownership of one s work and outcomes
• Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task, and work quickly and efficiently with grace in a high-volume fast-paced environment
• Ability to accomplish tasks solo as well as with a group
• Organized with strong attention to detail and follow through
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read and follow event orders, pre-event checklists, inventory checklists, and other collateral
• Possess basic knowledge of the food and beverage industry
• Electric pallet jack experience preferred
• Available for part-time, on-call events that include nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners safely
• Ability to lift, balance, and move items weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to receive direction and engage - such as with processes, facility, equipment/small wares, team members, guests
