Overview:

As a Senior Environmental Risk Consultant, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a member of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s Risk department. This position conducts thorough environmental assessments to identify and minimize risks that would result in legal action or fines, ensure compliance with current laws and to preserve health and safety. Secondly, this role conducts both field and desk-based research. This position assesses and interprets available data, paired with local, State and Federal guidelines, and provides solutions based on those findings. Lastly, the consultant prepares detailed scientific reports on their findings and/or recommendations for a variety of clients and projects.

This position is remote eligible. Responsibilities:

  • Assessment - Designs, manages, and delivers environmental assessments (site investigations) for a wide range of sites for both transaction and redevelopment purposes. Uses surveying techniques to understand the potential impact of environmental factors on real estate and construction developments, and conversely the impact that real estate and construction developments will have on the environment.
  • Consultation - Assesses the objectives and needs of a project / activity, then offers advice on complying with environmental laws and regulations. Consult with leadership to provide them with recommendations for changes.
  • Business Support -Assists in implementing and maintaining the Bank\'s environmental policy in compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management - Ensures compliance with all applicable local, State and Federal environmental laws and legislation. Uses this knowledge to determine the limitations of projects and the procedures to follow when obstacles arise.
Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree and 6 years of experience in in Environment Review.

OR

High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Environment Review.

Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of environmental law and the risk review process.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking terms with an emphasis on environmental terminology, policies, and procedures.
  • Organization skills.
  • Communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented.
