Embedded Electrical Hardware Engineer Position Summary:

The Embedded Electrical Hardware Engineer will work in the product development engineering department leading and assisting embedded systems development for new and existing products. New products include the integration of high voltage electric motor systems for automotive E-mobility applications.

Responsibilities

Embedded Electrical Hardware Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Focused on designing embedded electronic hardware for power electronics applications.
  • Lead the design and layout of circuit boards, substrates, & electrical interconnects/bus structures for low and high voltage DC applications (up to 1000VDC).
  • Digital and analog circuit design including filter selection is within scope.
  • Use circuit simulation, analysis and DFMEA/PFMEA to ensure robust design.
  • Evaluate analytical and experimental test results following engineering principles to verify that products meet technical requirements and validating that the design solutions meet customer needs.
  • Experience with different microcontroller architectures and various communication links (CAN, SPI) and their impact on hardware design.
  • Familiar with techniques for designing PCBs to support signal integrity and controlled impedance layer stackups.
  • Technical documentation/product specifications for internal and external use.
Qualifications

Embedded Electrical Hardware Engineer Required Qualifications:
  • Requires a four-year BS degree in electrical engineering or similar field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in hardware/PCB design.
Must be able to show legal authorization to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided. Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
