Title: Security Officer / Security Guard Shift: 5 days a week, Monday - Friday and potential for overtime on Saturday\'s. Hours: 3:30 PM \xe2\x80\x93 12:00 PM (midnight) Department: Facility Maintenance Reports To: Director Facilities Security & Maintenance Security Officers Position Purpose and Objectives Responsible for the protection and security of personnel and production plant property during his/her shift of responsibility. Essential Job Functions Must follow all GMP\xe2\x80\x99s and SOP\xe2\x80\x99s relevant to the position. Responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing plant is safe from fire, theft, and vandalism. Contact law enforcement, fire department, or rescue squad/paramedics in an emergency situation. Check on electronic security devices such as alarms and surveillance cameras to help maximize security awareness of the plant. During the manufacturing process maintains the security of the plant without interfering with the manufacturing processes. Walk through the plant at the beginning and end of shift to check locks, alarms and the security of restricted areas. Responsible for documentation and follow-up of plant security issues. Be able to handle special/miscellaneous projects as required. Security Officers Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Attention to detail to quickly and accurately identify security breaches. Discretion is necessary when addressing security issues. Must be able to make decisions and displays problem solving skills Expresses ideas and thoughts verbally and written form Exhibits good listening and comprehension skills Supervisory Responsibility None. Working Conditions Fast passed manufacturing environment, interaction with manufacturing/packaging management. Security - Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, an associate or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree a plus. Three years\' experience in security related position. Good communication and people skills. Retired PO is ideal. Computer skills are required to program and maintain electronic security systems.
