Job Description
Responsible for the technical and/or service operations of specific laboratory section. Ensures that all procedures are performed as defined in policy and procedure. Assists and supports the Lab Director and Lab Manager. Acts as the supervisor over the specific assigned clinical area.
Qualifications
1. Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners required as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician required. NOTE: Must be Certified Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist for moderate to high complexity testing areas.
2. Must have five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician.
3. Familiarity with medical terminology is required.
4. Experience with Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and databases is preferred.
5. Experience with writing technical reports is desirable.
