Job Description

The School Services Program Manager is responsible for the oversight, development and routine management of quality psycho-social care to students served in a school setting. This position works with ICAN and School District staff to ensure that overall needs of the student client are met. Responsible for leading a team that will work to address the social, emotional and educational needs of students in pursuit of academic success. This position promotes the philosophy and mission of the agency by performing the following duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:




Provide administrative support, supervision and direct oversight of Behavior Specialist(s), Clinical Care Coordinators, and other ICAN staff hired to work within various school-districts across the region. (Time Sheets, Time off requests, Scheduling, etc.)


Responsible for monitoring program budget and spend down lines (Supplies, SPIN services, etc) and all related paperwork.
Serve as the program liaison with identified program administration within the school.
Provide programmatic support to program staff including but not limited to: crisis debriefing, training, daily support, etc.
Provide oversight to ensure consistent application and implementation of established processes for key program elements such as home visitations, medication reviews, CAFAS tracking, etc. Coordinate with school personnel and mental health professionals to assure that the youth's mental health needs are considered in academic planning. Provide supportive consultation services to school personnel as needed, including, classroom observation, peer mediation, school wide events, etc. Assists team members in providing outreach to engage students and assist families with an understanding of program philosophy and policies.
Assists team members to help link clients and their families to appropriate resources and services in a timely and coordinated manner.
Completes all required documentation in a comprehensive and timely manner as required by ICAN and/or School Districts. Provide trainings to school personnel, parents, and community members on children's mental health to raise awareness about intervention and treatment. Maintain statistics for analysis and reporting purposes. Other duties may be assigned, on an as needed basis and dependent upon program needs.

Education/Experience:



Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Education, Psychology, Human Services or a closely related field preferred. NYS Professional License in area of study preferred or must be license eligible upon hire. 1-3 years of experience as a supervisor/manager preferred. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of services provided, well developed advocacy skills, and a knowledge and understanding of educational supports. Experience working with students with severe emotional and behavioral problems required.
