About the Role:

Apollo Security Group is seeking professional School Security Officers to join our team in the Gwinnett County School System (Georgia). This is an opportunity to make a positive impact by helping create and maintain a safe learning environment for students, staff, faculty, and the surrounding community.

We're looking for dependable individuals who value professionalism--showing strong communication skills, a sharp appearance, and the ability to remain calm, attentive, and approachable while supporting a safe school atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the Evolv security system at the main school entrance. Maintain a professional and visible presence in the entrance area to ensure safety and order. Greet and observe individuals entering the school, ensuring compliance with security procedures. Ensure all alerts identified by the Evolv system are addressed and processed in accordance with school administrators' expectations. Identify and respond promptly to unauthorized activity, disturbances, or safety concerns in the immediate entrance area. Collaborate with school administrators, faculty, and local law enforcement when necessary. Maintain accurate logs and complete incident reports as required. Provide excellent customer service while ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors. MUST be willing to fill in post where needed in any event, coverage is needed.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED required.

Georgia 24-Hour Security Licensing course (MANDATORY).

Must divulge ANY law enforcement encounters.

Prior experience in security, military, corrections, or law enforcement preferred. Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure. Strong communication and observation skills. Dependable with a proven attendance record. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Comfortable working in a school environment around children and staff.

Georgia 24 Hour Training Certificate is a MUST before an interview can be scheduled
