School Police Officer
Cardinal Point Security Group is seeking employees whose primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and protection of the students, faculty, and staff under (24 P.S. & 7-778). The School Police Officer shall be a sworn officer with the power to arrest as defined and limited in the Pennsylvania Code. Schedule includes normal school hours, occasional after-school events, with summers off.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:00pm
Compensation: $23-25 / hour (depending on experience)
Basic Qualifications:
- Graduate from Municipal Police Officer Education, Training Commission\xe2\x80\x99s Police Academy, State Police Academy, Title 18 Federal Law Enforcement. Other out of State police academies or Prior Military Police, Master at Arms, Airforce Security Forces considered
- Act 168, Child Abuse, PA State Criminal History and PDE FBI Clearances as required by the Child Protective Services Law and PA School Code
- Current clearances as required by the laws of Pennsylvania (24 P.S. \xc2\xa7 1-111) weapons use/baton use/restrain procedures
- Must possess a valid PA Act 235 Certification
- Must possess a valid PA Concealed Carry Permit
- Must possess your own firearm
- Able to work well under pressure;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Consent to a drug screen
- No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude
- Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
- Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
- Reliable means of transportation
- Must be professional and courteous
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of police experience preferred
- School experience and Act 67 Certification preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
