The School Counselor at Hartford Memorial Middle School (HMMS) plays a vital role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and life skills development of all students. Rooted in our schools commitment to belonging, the counselor works collaboratively with staff, families, and the community to create systems that remove barriers to student success and promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment. The successful candidate for this position has a passion for middle-level learners and a clear understanding of their unique developmental needs. In addition to individual and small-group counseling, the counselor regularly pushes into classrooms to deliver or partner on lessons, support social-emotional learning, and strengthen connections with students and teachers through proactive, preventative programming.
