Position Summary:

The Billing and Scheduling Specialist ensures accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and efficient staff scheduling. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and prior experience in troubleshooting billing errors and managing staff schedules using software such as Therap or WellSky.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, submit, and track client billing, insurance claims, and payments. Review and resolve billing errors or discrepancies promptly. Maintain accurate client accounts and financial records. Schedule caregivers and nursing staff according to client needs and staff availability. Utilize scheduling software (e.g., Therap, WellSky and others) to ensure proper coverage and compliance with regulations. Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and clients. Collaborate with administrative and care coordination teams to maintain smooth operations. Generate reports on billing, scheduling, and payroll data as needed.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field. Minimum 2 years of billing and scheduling experience in a home care or healthcare setting. Proficiency with Therap or WellSky or similar healthcare management software. Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to troubleshoot billing issues. Excellent communication and multitasking abilities. High attention to detail and confidentiality.
