Duties

Assist stylists with hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, cleaning, shampooing clients, and customer service. Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling check-in/check-out procedures. Support retail sales by upselling products, promoting yourself and the salon, and working on clients. Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and common areas to ensure a safe environment. Provide support during consultations and making client feel comfortable. Mentor new team members and contribute to a positive team environment through clear communication and teamwork.

Experience

Prior experience in a salon or barbershop setting is highly desirable, especially with skills in hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and color. Knowledge of salon software and social media. Familiarity with sanitation protocols specific to the beauty industry is essential. Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math will be advantageous. Basic understanding of color theory, store management practices, and front desk operations is beneficial. Certification or licensing in cosmetology or makeup is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $12.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
