We\'re seeking a driven and motivated Sales Account Manager to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of dental sales experience with a book of business. We are also open to an Account Manager Trainee who has 0-2 years of sales experience and is looking to grow and develop in their career.

Purpose: As a Sales Account Manager, you bring value to Burkhart clients by providing expert advice on dental Merchandise, Equipment and Service in a way that supports both client and Burkhart success. Your primary focus is on Merchandise and small Equipment sales to your assigned clients, while growing sales within your existing clients and with new clients. You will drive the sales cycle, including driving equipment and service sales volume by working closely with your Equipment Specialist and Service Technicians to nurture current client relationships, developing new and existing clients and sales opportunities and seeing each client through the sales process. Your integrity, dedication to client success, and teamwork skills \xe2\x80\x93 in addition to your sales skills and knowledge of dental merchandise \xe2\x80\x93 are key to success in this role. This is an outside sales position that may require significant travel depending on the assigned territory.

  • SUPPORT CLIENT AND BURKHART SUCCESS & GROWTH by working with the sales team to match clients with the right merchandise, equipment and service to meet their business needs.
  • SUPPORT BURKHART\xe2\x80\x99S FINANCIAL SUCCESS by driving merchandise sales volumes at or above established goals, to ensure sustainable, profitable sales growth based on market maturity.
  • DEMONSTRATE BURKHART\xe2\x80\x99S VALUE TO CLIENTS by communicating the benefits of Burkhart service, merchandise, and equipment to clients using product knowledge & training.
  • SUPPORT THE SALES TEAM through positive, respectful interactions with sales, service, and corporate associates to ensure client satisfaction and timely response. Attends and contributes to meetings and trainings.
  • CONTRIBUTE TO BURKHART\xe2\x80\x99S SUCCESS by modeling the Burkhart culture to clients and team members, accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field is required. Significant additional experience in Dental Merchandise Sales that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential responsibilities may substitute for a degree.
  • 4 years of successful outside sales experience in a medical or technical sales field.
  • Demonstrated success closing large equipment sales.
  • Ability to travel by car and airplane to client offices, meetings, trainings, and events on a frequent basis. Out of town travel of up to 50% may be required depending on territory.
  • The associate must maintain a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, maintain a good driving record (as defined by Burkhart\xe2\x80\x99s liability insurance), and be insurable at all times.

Salary Info:
  • Starting stipend of $100,000 - $150,000 plus eligibility for commissions and milestone bonus for candidates with 5+ years of dental sales experience.
  • Starting stiped of $60,000 - $65,000 plus eligibility for commissions and milestone bonus for a Trainee with little to no outside sales experience.
  • Companywide, our Sales Account Managers earn 1% to 8.5% commissions on sales.
Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.
