Safety Manager | Salary $90-$95k DOE

Monday \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x80\x9c Friday (On-Site)

A well established Food Manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join their team in Milford, IA with travel to Sioux Falls, SD plant. The Safety Manager will develop, coordinate and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe, accident free, healthy work environment all while complying with federal, state and local safety laws, regulations and codes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations of accidents and injuries, manage the preparation of material and evidence for reporting, determine probable causes and make recommendations for corrective action.
• Implement accident and loss prevention programs.
• Formulate general health and safety policies and procedures to be followed by company personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
• Conduct annual safety training for all employees required by law.
• Maintain the SDS and ensure the information is current.
• Formulate environmental policies and procedures in accordance to the local, state, and federal laws as applicable.
• Conduct investigations and create reports for any and all accidents and incidents and take proper actions to to prevent any future issues.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.
• The ability to travel from time to time to South Dakota locations.
• Coordinate and facilitate the company safety committee and conduct regular meetings to communicate safety hazards and violations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in a safety or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of four years of management in safety required. Completion of the OSHA Compliance Safety and Health course is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of safety rules and regulations set forth by local, state and federal laws. Must have strong leadership skills and ability to effectively enforce policies, procedures and best practices.
• Experience & knowledge in MS Office products (Excel & Word) and SAP preferred.
