RN Manager - Patient Placement

Position Highlights:
This is a leadership position which will provide broad exposure to the organization.
The RN Manager is a registered nurse who provides operational leadership and supervision for Patient Placement and the Rush Transfer Center.
This individual is responsible for the incorporation of clinical processes into workflows and an opportunity to be involved in process improvement initiatives.
Facilitates a collegial, patient-centered environment that is supportive of continuous quality improvement.
Full time; Rotating Shifts; Benefit eligible position

Position Responsibilities:
Monitors and evaluates the clinical and operational aspects of Patient Placement, Rush Transfer/Transport Center
Guides bed managers and clinical resource coordinators to assure seamless patient throughput and delegates effectively to other members of the team
Facilitates communication among departments such as admitting/patient access, operating room, emergency department, and interventional areas to plan, implement, and evaluate patient admission, discharge and placement processes.
Recruits, develops, and evaluates clinical and non-clinical personnel.
Assists director in evaluation of personnel, operational, project and capital budgets for the department.
Participates in quality improvement process within the department
Maintains and analyzes appropriate metrics to contribute to forecasting and strategic planning for patient flow processes
Functions as the bed manager and transfer center nurse as needed

Position Qualifications Include:
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Nursing
Three years of clinical nursing experience.
Progressive clinical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
Bed Management experience preferred.
A high level of analytical ability
Demonstrates the ability to work in complex clinical or administrative systems or programs.
