Summary:
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care in accordance with facility and departmental policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction.
Requirements:
Education/Skills:
\xc2\xb7 Graduate of an RN program
\xc2\xb7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of scope and role of the Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Mental Health Technician, Patient Care Technician and Unit Clerk
Experience:
\xc2\xb7 Two (2) years experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
\xc2\xb7 Valid Registered Nurse license within the state of Louisiana;
\xc2\xb7 American Heart Association Basic Life Support
\xc2\xb7 Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification.
