Job Summary and Qualifications

Acute Care Nurse (General Surgery)

This is 36 bed high acuity unit that cares for a variety of surgical patients form general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular. This unit develops nurses to have broad range of knowledge, become experts in post-op, recovery, and master all nursing skills.


The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

What you will do in this role:

As Med-Surg RN, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. In this role, you will use therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. You will identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. You will plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. You will participate in performance improvement activities. You will provide care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing Current RN licensure (or eligible) 1 year clinical experience preferred CPR certificate
