Responsibilities

  • Manage Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program for the organization to reduce risk to an acceptable level
while allowing the organization to achieve its strategic objectives and drive increased shareholder value . The ERM framework has three main tenants:
  • Identifying
tracking

and monitoring organization wide risks
  • Working closely with business and functional areas to develop programs and/or policies to mitigate risks
  • Transferring risks (via insurance or other mechanisms)
  • Increase risk awareness and promote risk reduction by maintaining
continually improving

and educating others in the organization on the ERM process
  • Serve as primary advocate
subject matter expert

and resource within the organization for ERM specific policies and procedures and assist the business and functional areas as needed to develop programs and or policies to mitigate risks
  • Coordinate and lead quarterly ERM Risk & Compliance Council meetings and prepare quarterly ERM updates for Board of Directors
  • Escalate significant risk issues to the Risk Council and monitor corrective actions to address issues
where needed
  • Have a clear understanding of the businesses
potential risks and insurance trends
  • Maintain relationships with third party service providers including but not limited to: insurance brokers
insurance companies

claims administrators

and attorneys
  • Coordinate the purchase of insurance programs
provide recommendations and analysis for resolutions of large and complex claims

and direct the property loss control process
  • Provide Workers Compensation and Automobile Liability claim oversight by completing settlement analysis
assisting businesses with complex claims

administering the claim review processes

and elevating to management/finance to ensure proper accounting
  • Review contracts to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Participate in the M&A Due Diligence Process including analyzing target risks and determining how to integrate acquisitions or separate divestitures most effectively.
  • Establish overall direction and strategic initiatives for the ERM function.
  • Maintain Riskonnect
a Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and serve as the subject matter expert
  • Maintain policy documentation
including following up on outstanding items

reviewing documents to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain statutory compliance for the company\'s self-insurance programs
  • Maintain regular claim reports for businesses and accounting
  • Administer the Insurance Certificate and Automobile ID Card processes and process payments
Desired Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in business-related field
risk management

or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of enterprise risk management or insurance experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge including but not limited to ERM
insurance (executive risk

property

casualty

international

aviation

medical professional liability

etc.)

  • Strong critical thinking
ability to focus on the most vital areas

analytical

problem-solving

and negotiation skills
  • Experience preparing and presenting materials to all levels of an international organization including executive level
  • Strong project management skills
with the ability to effectively manage several projects at once and identify and implement process improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel occasionally - approximately 10%
  • CRMP desired.
  • BA/BS degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Advanced in Word
PowerPoint

Excel,; working knowledge of SharePoint and RMIS software packages.
