Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the retail liquor store operates smoothly. You will engage with customers, assist with product selection, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Maintain an organized and visually appealing store through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales. Assist in upselling products to maximize sales opportunities. Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures, including phone etiquette and customer interaction standards. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store environment.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older due to our store selling packaged alcohol. Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus for inventory management tasks. Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling procedures. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is advantageous but not required.
