Responsibilities

Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos to educate and excite shoppers about our offerings. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts. Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to enhance visual appeal and accessibility. Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stockroom supplies efficiently. Provide knowledgeable assistance with grocery store items or specialized product categories as needed. Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts, fostering a collaborative environment. Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and purchase decisions. Ensure compliance with store policies on cash handling, sales procedures, and safety protocols. Support overall store operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to merchandising standards.

Skills

Proficiency with POS systems for smooth transaction processing. Prior supervising or leadership experience in retail or customer service environments. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a broader customer base. Excellent phone etiquette for remote inquiries or follow-up conversations. Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly approach. Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management techniques. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions. Customer service expertise to create positive shopping experiences that foster loyalty. Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous.
