Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills to create a positive shopping experience. Prior retail experience and familiarity with grocery store operations are a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels Stock shelves and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic retail math calculations Manage phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts

Qualifications

Previous retail sales experience preferred; experience in grocery store environment is a plus Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math principles Ability to perform upselling and product demonstrations effectively Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail calculations Supervising experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $15.00 - $27.06 per hour
