Job Summary
Thia position will work with the statewide Results Management team. The Results Management team conducts analysis, produces materials, and facilitates discussions that inform pressing policy decisions made by state and local policymakers in policy areas across government. Through these initiatives, MMB works across state agencies to focus enterprise-wide efforts on results; better understand barriers to success; evaluate the impact of programs; bring agencies together to solve similar problems; and to inform the biennial budget and legislative process. Thia position will be responsible for assisting state leaders, policymakers, and other program administrators in making decisions that produce better outcomes for Minnesotans by: 1) conducting analyses and lead intergovernmental efforts to identify and promote evidence-based decision-making; 2) coordinating across internal and external partners to manage progress on impact evaluations; and 3) initiating and facilitating collaboration across agencies, levels of government, and sectors to carry out the identified policy improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor\'s degree in economics, public administration, business, statistics, engineering, planning, or a related field and at least three (3) years of professional level experience or
An Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field and at least five (5) years of professional level experience
A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree may substitute for one year of professional level experience
Experience must include:
Advanced qualitative and quantitative information collection and analysis sufficient to evaluate program-related data and extract meaningful information to apply to program operations
Project management skills sufficient to communicate, organize, and manage multiple complex projects that adapt to emerging opportunities
Advanced skill in creating effective working relationships, fostering collaboration, and building consensus with governmental and non-governmental officials
Problem solving skills sufficient to diagnose and collaborate with team members on complex social, as well as technical, problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to lead projects with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate data-driven findings through visualizations
Attention to detail and the ability to accurately enter and maintain data
Ability to initiate and complete projects independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating data visualizations using software such as R or Tableau
Familiarity with and/or experience with evidence-based practices and impact evaluations
Experience with group facilitation methods to convene large groups and foster collaboration
Firsthand knowledge of or extensive experience with indigenous cultures and/or communities experiencing inequities
Lived experience participating in social programs, the criminal justice system, or other state-funded programs
Familiarity with public budgeting, legislative, and/or grants administration processes
