Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM (40-hour week), with occasional evenings up to 8:00 PM (rotating shift 1-2 days).
Residential Substance Abuse Counselor I's are responsible for:
Preparing and facilitating group counseling sessions, educational programs, and lectures to assist clients in meeting therapeutic goals
Conducting individual counseling to provide crises intervention, support & guidance, and address client behaviors and personal problems
Documenting clients' progress and responses to treatment
Maintaining client records; ensuring records are complete, accurate, and up to date
Ensuring client safety and well-being
Monitoring client behavior during social, recreational, or daily activities
Enforcing house rules
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree / Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, with NADAC Requirements
High School Diploma with a minimum of 270 credentiation hours to be able to obtain certification
Minimum 6 months of previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling, preferred
Related work experience with a program specific population (adolescent/adult) in a residential treatment setting, preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clients.
Ability to speak with others in order to exchange information and provide counseling.
Ability to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracy on a regular basis.
Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data on a regular basis.
Ability to respond to telephones, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noises.
Ability to drive an automobile or van; remain alert to traffic conditions, and to identify and comply with traffic signals and signs
Compensation (based on experience and credentials)
Range begins at $26.92-27.40 per hour

Certified Residential Senior Counselor II's are responsible for:
Under general supervision, provides support, intervention, direction, and conflict resolution to encourage clients through difficult phases of recovery during substance use disorder treatment. Conducts comprehensive assessments and develops and implements complex treatment plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues. May guide other Counselors in resolving complex case problems.
Completing comprehensive assessments and treatment planning for caseload, and providing counseling services to clients
Developing and implementing complex treatment and discharge plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues
Serving as a professional resource to other Counselors in resolving complex case problems, and providing clinical supervision and guidance as needed
May conduct in-service and continuing education programs for treatment staff
Assuming responsibility for overseeing Counselors in absence of Supervisor
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Master's Degree
3 years clinical experience preferred; 1 year TC experience preferred
Current WY license or provisional required
This is a full-time position; some nights and weekends may be required
