The Retail Banking Group is responsible for delivering outstanding service to our clients via our Massachusetts-based branch network, including personal and small business deposit services, as well as portfolio residential lending. The Residential Loan Operations Team is part of the Retail Banking Groups. Because we focus on portfolio residential lending, we take a long-term approach to building our teams and we offer a stable platform through cycles.

Strong candidates for this role will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in residential mortgage loan processing, solid communications skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for residential mortgage lending.

Requirements

• Manages the life cycle of their assigned loans from application through underwriting and coordinates with residential lenders, colleagues, and the Bank\'s attorneys and paralegals from application to closing.

• Prepares required initial or amended disclosures within the required time frame, as well as required closing disclosures.

• Orders flood certifications, appraisal reports, title requests & credit reports.

• Communicates loan status and related documentation requirements to loan officers.

• Ensures that the loan file is complete, accurate and in accordance with Bank requirements.

• Resolves any post-closing quality control issues.

• Experience with Encompass LOS strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience directly processing residential mortgage loans, preferably portfolio loans with more complex income and asset issues
• Proficient understanding and commitment to regulatory compliance within residential lending
• Strong analytical skill with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to apply logical and creative thinking to solve complex lending problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skill, including ability to organize and present ideas and information in a simple, concise and unambiguous manner.
• Resilient and able to work autonomously in the face of ambiguity
