SUMMARY:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Residential (B2C) Direct Sales Supervisor for our inside sales team to coach, motivate, and develop the members of the inside sales team. This role has direct supervisory responsibility for a team of inside sales representatives & sales support, and the role is responsible for driving double-digit revenue growth for our residential internet and other products. This role also has a direct impact on our customer experience and will help us achieve a world-class Net Promoter Score (NPS). Finally, the role also has a direct impact on our employee experience as United Communications strives to be named a Best Place to Work in the greater Nashville area.

The successful candidate should understand sales strategies and will be able to elevate the selling skills and results of his/her team while meeting or exceeding all sales targets and quotas. The Residential Direct Sales Supervisor will prospect for new customer opportunities and lead a team of sales representatives who interact with residential prospects via outbound cold calling and inbound calling to offer internet and phone services within the United footprint.

REPORTING:

Reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
  • Supervisory: Setting weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals for team; scheduling team members to cover incoming calls 6 days per week; tracking sales results including identifying trends; coaching team members for improvement
  • Prospecting Activities: Inbound and outbound calling, email, texting, relationship building, and follow up
  • Leading, supervising, and training direct team members and indirect sales channels (e.g., MTE) in new customer acquisitions and product knowledge
  • Identify, hire and train top talent
  • Demonstrate, Propose, and Present: Demonstrate United Communications solutions to potential customers, answer questions, overcome objections and close sales
  • Pipeline Management
  • Assist with analyzing market data and communicating marketing needs for Inside sales team
JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Required Education, Experience, Training, and Skills:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years direct sales experience in B2C role
  • Valid driver s license and acceptable driving record
  • Experience selling to residential (B2C) customers while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets/quotas
  • Comfortable with, and experience in, cold-calling
  • Strong follow-up skills with both prospects and customers
  • Ability to build and promote strong, long-lasting customer and team relationships
  • Client-focused with a passion for exceptional customer service
  • Team focused with a passion for winning
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks
  • Intermediate or above Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Desired Education, Experience, Training, and Skills:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Technology, Sales, or a related field
  • 10+ years sales experience in a B2C role
  • 3+ years in a direct sales leadership role or other supervisory position
  • 5+ years in telecommunications or ISP industry
  • Recent sales training or certification
  • Ability to overcome customer objections to close sales on first call
  • Experience managing leads and opportunities within a CRM database
  • Salesforce CRM experience
  • Intermediate or above skills with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with door-to-door sales
  • High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Upbeat and positive attitude with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop
SCHEDULE:
Primarily a Monday through Friday schedule with ability to work a flexible schedule at times to meet the needs of the business.

Little to no out-of-town overnight travel.
