Fremont County Girls Group Home is seeking a Resident Care Associate to join our team. The Resident Care Associate is responsible for the daily care and needs of our residents. This position will work closely with the residents, to ensure that each resident is safe, healthy and productive in order to reunite with their families. The goal of this position is to help improve the quality of life for each resident and support them in their journey towards reuniting with their families by strength in education, build proper social skills and gain basic life skills. .

This position requires a high level of flexibility, understanding how to set appropriate boundaries, a knowledge of issues that impact girls between the ages of 10 to 17 years of age and a positive attitude!



Duties & Responsibilities:



Perform necessary duties that facilitate a safe and healthy environment for the youth we serve. Follow Nutrition Guidelines for Breakfast and Lunch. Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner according FCGH policies and procedures. Report any concerns or issues as they arise Participate in residents' social activities and be a positive member of the community Report any unusual incidents or concerns to the House Manager or Executive Director Complete other duties as assigned by House Manager or Executive Director Participate and conduct any screenings, evaluations, intakes, reviews, and exits. Ensure that all required documentation is completed before end of shift to the standards set by the policies and procedures. Teach healthy living skills through group work, role modeling, individual service plans and Ansel-Casey. Facilitate Social Skill, Education, and Wellness groups daily. Take all residents to medical, dental, vision, and counseling appointments. Document and communicate accurately needed information before, during and after appointments. Administer medication daily or as needed for residents. Document accurately. Immediately notify and document any Incidents or Critical Incidents that occur during the shift prior to the end of your shift. Collaborate and work professionally with other agencies. Attend MDT, Court Hearings, or School meetings when needed. Maintain confidentiality at all times required by law. Attend all staff meetings. Ensure that training is completed on time and that are informed of current information that relates to caring for our residents and their families/guardians. Assist and work with the House Manager to carry out all duties assigned. Be available to work any shift in either home in emergency situations or as required by the House Manager. Your hourly wage is based on providing emergency, vacation and sick leave coverage for other Resident Mangers and Overnight Staff. Days may be traded with other staff to cover this situation. Follow dress code. Any colored polo shirt with a nice pair of jeans, dress pants, skirt, capri's and shorts. Maintain healthy boundaries with residents.

Skills & Qualifications:



Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (preferred) Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management (preferred) H.S. diploma (or G.E.D.) and three years of experience working in a group home setting or similar environment. Be at least 21 years of age. Good interpersonal skills. Physical, emotional and mental health adequate to perform duties: Physically able to go up and down stairs. Physically able to see, hear and verbally communicate within a normal range. Physically able to lift 30 pounds, squat and sit as necessary. Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aide. Pass a full DCI/FBI background check. Pass a Local Law Enforcement background check. Pass a DFS Central Registry Child Abuse background check. Pass pre-employment Drug Screening and participate in Randoms. Have a clean driving record and be insurable with the Group Homes' auto insurance carrier. Must have a current, valid driver's license.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
