Come join our team at this amazing property, centrally located in the heart of downtown Vancouver with easy access to Portland International Airport. Featuring 226 rooms, the hotel is within walking distance to the gorgeous waterfront as well as to local bustling attractions such as the Vancouver Farmers Market (directly across the street from the hotel!), making us an excellent base for both leisure and business travel. What will I be doing? As a Reservations Coordinator, you would answer telephone inquiries, employing sales techniques in order to secure and process reservations for guest accommodations in a timely manner consistent with Hilton\'s high standards of quality. You would also support the Sales team and assist with group blocks, rooming lists, and group master accounts per client and Sales Manager needs. More specifically, your essential functions would include:
  • Organize and input group information. Update group bookings. Communicate all changes effectively with fellow team members and other Hotel Departments. Process internal reservation request within a timely manner.
  • Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a professional and friendly manner using clear, verbal English communication.Listen to callers to understand inquires and requests.Promptly provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotel, rate, etc.Promote Hilton marketing programs.Assign reservations based on guest preferences and availability.
  • Read, retrieve, communicate and verify information including confirmation number to caller.Input and retrieve data using a computer reservation system and utilizing codes for efficiency.
  • Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, airline partnerships, local attractions, directions, etc.Memorize and communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested.Handle complaints in a tactful manner and negotiate resolutions such as alternative accommodations when hotel is sold out.

Other Compensation
  • Employee stock purchase program (ESPP) - purchase Hilton shares at 15% discount
  • $400 New Hire Sign-On Bonus - receive $150 after working 8 shifts and the remaining $250 after completing 60 days of employment

Position-Specific Compensation
  • Front Office Upselling Incentive Program - Commission based program paid out monthly and is based on upsell generated revenue. Revenue is calculated as time of guest check-out. Upsell revenue includes; room type upgrades, early check-in fee, late check out fees and late cancellation fees. Commission is calculated as follows:
    • $1-$399 earns 10% commission
    • $400-$999 earns 12% commission
    • $1,000 or more earns 15% commission
  • Hilton Honors Incentive Program - receive $1.00 per Hilton Honors enrollment.
  • Sell-Out Incentive Program - a sellout is constituted as the hotel occupying 222 of 226 guest rooms. Team Members are paid an equal percentage of the previous night\'s NET ADR split between the number of Team Members working the date of the sellout.
