Experience and Education

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree with major coursework in field of assignment and no experience required.

\xc2\xb7 Two (2) years college with emphasis in coursework in field of assignment and two (2) years of laboratory experience at level of Laboratory Technical Assistant or equivalent.

\xc2\xb7 High school graduation or GED and four (4) years laboratory experience to include two (2) years at level of Laboratory Technical Assistant or equivalent.

Job Duties

\xc2\xb7 Performs routine scientific and medical research work in science area such as biology, chemistry, physics, or other related scientific field.

\xc2\xb7 Assembles and/or operates various laboratory equipment and apparatus.

\xc2\xb7 Records research data in accordance with prescribed procedures, discussing results with supervisor.

\xc2\xb7 Assists in collection of data for project reports.

\xc2\xb7 Reads literature and confers with supervisor concerning implementation of new procedures.

\xc2\xb7 May plan for, and provide working supervision to, work of laboratory personnel of lower grade engaged in limited phase of research project.

\xc2\xb7 Identifying possible participants.

\xc2\xb7 Preparing study letters and sending letters to study candidates.

\xc2\xb7 Recruiting participants to the study, obtaining informed consent, assisting with mailing and with step up of home blood pressure monitors and smart phone apps.

\xc2\xb7 Administering cognitive tests, meeting study subjects in person and troubleshooting problems with study equipment, calling patients regularly to update BP readings if needed.
