As the Research and Development Pastry Cook, you will assist the Research and Development team to develop World Class desserts for our Cheesecake Factory Restaurants, Cheesecake Factory at Home, and The Cheesecake Factory Bakery.

Responsibilities

Here\xe2\x80\x99s more of what you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to do:
  • Work closely with the R&D Team on new product development and new product samples.
  • Follow recipes, quality standards, and sanitation practices put in place by R&D.
  • Prepare all scratch desserts from scaling ingredients, mixing, baking, set-up, finishing, and slicing.
  • Wash and clean all utensils, prep equipment, and counters required for dessert preparation.
  • Maintain the organization and rotation of ingredients in the kitchen pantry, walk-in refrigerator, and freezer.
Qualifications

What we require:
  • Two plus years in a pastry kitchen or pastry production facility preferred.
  • Basic cake finishing and decorating skills.
  • Ability to work in a well-paced kitchen for up to 8 hours standing, walking, and bending; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift focus to other projects based on changing business demands.
  • Basic math and understanding of measuring units for recipes.
What we prefer:
  • Culinary Arts Program degree or certificate.
