The Apartment Renovation Company is a construction company focused on projects at apartment communities located in the Pacific Northwest. We use cutting edge tools and techniques and focus on building a great company culture and helping our crew build new skills each and every day.

Role summary

We are looking to grow our team in the Seattle, WA area with Renovation Technicians - this is the name we use for generalist members of our renovation crew. We're looking to hire folks with experience ranging from 5 to 20+ years.

If you have a background in maintenance and / or carpentry and are looking to build new skills, we want to hear from you.

Job sites are mainly located in the area stretching from the South Puget Sound to Kent,

Detailed description of responsibilities

Sample projects include apartment interior renovations (cabinets, painting, flooring, plumbing fixture replacement, electrical improvements), framing and siding work, balcony repairs and fire restoration.

The position will have the following primary responsibilities:

Assist with the installation of framing, drywall, roofing and flooring Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety regulations and guidelines Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and supervisors Inspect finished projects to ensure they meet quality standards and codes

Requirements

We recognize that the paths taken by amazing, ambitious candidates will not all look the same. Having said that, there are a few requirements for this role:

Basic carpentry, drywall, and maintenance skills Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and techniques Familiarity with safety practices and OSHA guidelines Strong physical stamina and ability to work in challenging conditions Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions and work independently Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Physical work requires lifting, bending, and carrying heavy materials Reliable transportation to travel from different sites within the portfolio

Compensation

This role is full-time and will be hourly; base and bonus are competitive with similar roles in the construction industry. Specific compensation is based on relevant experience and will increase as your skills improve and you can take on larger and more complex tasks without compromising on work quality. We also offer a number of benefits to all team members.
