Position Description: Renewable Energy Asset Manager


We are looking for an intelligent, committed, upbeat and hard-working Renewable Energy Asset Manager for utility scale wind farms and solar plants. This person will be a key player in a fast-growing company.


Desired Qualifications:
To be considered for the role, you should have experience with the following tasks and be comfortable achieving them with minimal day-to-day guidance:


  • Manage compliance with all contractual obligations for the wind and solar sites
  • Responsibilities include various contract types: PPAs, landowner leases, interconnect agreements, O&M service agreements, permits, debt agreements, tax equity agreements
  • Create asset budgets and performance reports that include financial and operational KPIs, variance analysis and forecasts
  • Manage relationships with customers, landowners, service providers, regulatory agencies, tax equity investors, lenders, and ISOs
  • Manage parts purchasing including identifying suppliers, placing orders, managing inventory, and strategic planning
  • Participate in energy management activities, including asset registrations, REC registration and sales, market monitoring, and evaluating ways to reduce market risk
  • Look for ways to optimize revenues, minimize expenses, and increase project availability
  • Provide operational support to assets, which include holding calls with O&M vendors, running requests for proposals, monitoring performance issues, project management, and handling contract disputes
  • Oversee NERC program and compliance by managing our NERC consultant and completing filings in a timely manner
  • Assist with site\xe2\x80\x99s operational technology, working with various vendors and suppliers to ensure systems are functional and secure
  • Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, which may include answering requests for information (RFIs), user certificate management, market testing, etc
  • Manage and mitigate the many forms of risk: legal, market, operational, environmental, and regulatory
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics ERP system for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice processing
  • Collaborate within the broader asset management team and across departments
  • Perform ad hoc operational requests
  • Enthusiastically jump in to help when any number of other unexpected needs arise



Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent
  • At least 2-5 years of asset management experience with utility scale wind and solar plants
  • Experience with ERCOT and NERC highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Be highly organized, energetic, assertive and able to work independently
  • Have detail-oriented and meticulous work habits, a strong organizational capability, and a track record of meeting deadlines and using good judgement
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Have enthusiasm for the industry; a positive attitude is a bonus
  • Have the ability to multitask and keep a cool head in demanding situations



Base Salary Range: $92K - $158K

This position may be eligible for bonus


Working Conditions:
Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to visit plants, attend industry events, and hold meetings with customers and service providers. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
