Job Description


Snail Games is looking for a Render Pipeline Engineer to join the Flexi Game Engine Development Team. After you receive training on this new MMO engine, you\xe2\x80\x99ll start using your knowledge of game development and experience programming to develop pipelines for the Flexi Game Engine. You\xe2\x80\x99ll develop ownership over projects that enable production teams to build AAA MMO games with superior gameplay experience.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

Design, develop, and maintain rendering pipeline and tools

Develop innovative graphics frameworks, algorithms, and tools to maximize graphics quality and performance

Document technical implementation details

Work independently to complete assigned tasks and projects

Support the wider team in diagnosing problems and producing solutions

Keep current on technological developments in the game industry

What we are looking for

Passion for games - You are familiar with the game engine landscape and engine features

Self-motivated and curious - you love to go deep and figure out how things works

Experience with programming - you\xe2\x80\x99ve written over 10,000 lines of code

Requirements

2+ years professional experience in rendering

Excellent 3D Math skills, including: linear algebra, vector/matrix, quaternions, etc.)

In-depth experience with real-time rendering technologies & API\xe2\x80\x99s (OpenGL/DirectX)

Experience writing graphic shaders (HLSL, Cg, DirectX.)

Strong C++ programming abilities and comfortable with templates, OO Design, exception handling, multithreading, etc.

Deep insight into current 3D engine rendering pipelines

Experience with Game engine programming or a related field

Strong verbal and written communication

Nice to Have:

Experience with Lua

This position is fully remote but limited to applicants residing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
