Your Role:

The Release Train Engineer is responsible for defining the program objectives, partnering with product teams, and managing risks and dependencies across multiple product teams. This leadership role drives continuous improvement across the Release Train, addresses critical bottlenecks and helps improve lean thinking. The RTE further works with technology teams driving solutions transformation to improve experience and build a positive impact to our stakeholders.

Your Work:

Lead the Agile cadence activities within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) framework, ensuring participation from team members and key stakeholders.

Lead multiple functional Agile application development teams from backlog grooming and planning activities through development, testing, and release deployment with responsibility for all aspects of a teams\xe2\x80\x99 efficiency.

Manage and optimize the flow of value through the \xe2\x80\x9cteam of teams\xe2\x80\x9d.

Establish and communicate calendars for sprints and deployments

Establish common reporting, metrics, and work management tools (JIRA) across teams.

Facilitate Big Room Planning readiness and execution.

Assist in tracking the execution of features across teams.

Facilitate scaling meetings (scrum of scrum, product owner sync, overall retrospectives, solution demo\xe2\x80\x99s)

Help manage risks and dependencies; escalate and track impediments.

Encourage collaboration between teams.

Coach leaders, teams and scrum masters on Agile practices and mindsets.

Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency.

Maintain visual progress metrics indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.

Run retrospectives and drive the teams to implement the process improvements identified during those meetings.

Provide all support to the teams using a servant leadership style whenever possible.

What would make us excited about you?

Proven track record of leading multiple Agile teams responsible for delivering large, enterprise-wide deliveries following SAFe.

Five years of experience in Agile Methodologies with a minimum of three years in the Scrum Master role.

Five years of project management or software development management experience.

Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.

Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games

Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

Effective leadership, coaching and collaboration skills.

CSM (Certified SCRUM Master) or ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification.

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, MIS or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated confidence and professionalism in approach.

Self-directed and self-motivated.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.

Ability to make decisions.

Ability to communicate your ideas and solutions in simple language (business jargon not needed) to your team, and executives.

The national average salary range for this position is $157,770-$175,300.

However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $141,930-$210,400 This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 15% of eligible pay.
