Job Description

Busy Urgent care seeking an registration/authorization/verification specialist to join our team. This position requires an independent, extremely detail-oriented, organized and efficient individual.

Duites:

Navigating and utilizing insurance websites to obtain and interpret details of eligibility and benefits for procedures. Contacting insurance companies and determining patient's out-of-pocket responsibility for procedure and obtaining pre-certification/prior authorization as needed. Knowledge of different types of insurance coverage and policies - Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, Auto, Worker's Comp, etc. Communicate with patients about co-pays, benefits, coverage, and care authorization Researches and corrects invalid or incorrect patient demographic information such as invalid insurance policy number to ensure proper billing. Responds professionally to all inquiries from patients, staff, and payers in a timely manner. Explaining to patient their insurance coverage and benefits as they pertain to office visit. Collecting patient payments.

Experience:

Minimum of One (1) year of insurance verification or registration experience required.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalence. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Outstanding customer service skills Detail and team oriented Effective communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills Proven computer proficiency and the use of multiple applications simultaneously Understanding of medical terminology and CPT and ICD10 Coding
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
