Nebraska Pulmonary Specialties is currently looking for a Clinical Support Supervisor that will serve as the supervisor for registration and scheduling staff, addressing both personnel and departmental needs. Benefits:

Essential Job Functions
  • Serves as the supervisor in the department for all questions related to tasks, policy or procedure.
  • Contacts management team if problem is beyond scope of position, gathering assistance, feedback, and support from management when needed to resolve questions or disputes amongst team.
  • Leads a Clinical Support (Registration & Scheduling) team meeting to discuss process changes, process questions, patient scenario questions, etc. Takes outstanding questions to management team for answers as needed.
  • Serves as primary trainer for both Registration and Scheduling positions for incoming new employees. Orients new employees to position, team, and office.
  • Continues to train current employees, providing alternate, more efficient ways to perform their daily functions. Seeks suggestions from employees before offering a solution; challenge employees to begin thinking in alternate ways to positively resolve a problem.
  • Delegates & assigns tasks to the department lead based on appropriateness, volume and need.
  • Monitors job descriptions for employees, updates as needed.
  • Generates Performance appraisals and delivers to employees on an annual basis.
  • Responsible for candidate selection, interviewing and hiring for Department staff.
  • Entering Calendar templates to the EMR with each new Master Schedule.
  • Blocks & opens Provider templates as needed & requested, according to changing schedules, and communicates to Scheduling for appropriate rescheduling.
  • Oversees waitlist calendars and ensures these are addressed and appointments made in an appropriate timeframe, scheduling may be delegated to department leads.
  • Enters blocks for additional meetings or events as needed, coordinating with Administrator and/or nursing team as appropriate.
  • Master schedule \xe2\x80\x93 maintains, updates and communicates changes to all staff as needed. Updates Aprima templates based on changes to the Master Schedule.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Contribute to a team.
  • Ability to operating a computer and basic computer software (Microsoft office suite).
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Associates Degree or higher, preferred.
  • 2 years medical office experience preferred.
