REGISTERED NURSE - RN - ORTHO

CareerStaff Unlimited is looking to hire a Registered Nurse for a full-time opportunity in Birmingham, AL. This 13-week contract offers 12-hour night shifts and extension options may be available at the end of the contract. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of recent Ortho experience, a strong focus on patient care, and feel confident in evaluations and working with a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities for this Registered Nurse opportunity include, but are not limited to: * Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the organization

• Assess plans and evaluates patient care needs
• Carry out physician orders
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
• Instruct and educate patients and families
• Assess and coordinate patient\'s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
• Provide age and culturally-appropriate care

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE \xe2\x80\x93 ORTHO POSITION: * Minimum of 1 year of recent ortho experience

• BLS issued through American Heart Association

NIH Certification * Must be eligible to work in the United States

• Active Alabama or multistate RN license
