The role you\xe2\x80\x99ll contribute:

The Staff RN practices as a professional nurse within the limits of the Texas Nurse Practice Act assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame utilizing skills, knowledge and the nursing process to ensure the quality of care provided and in harmony with the philosophy, goals and policies of the Nursing Department and hospital administration.

\xc2\xb7 Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive plan of care through a multidisciplinary care team process in conjunction with the patient/family in internal and external settings.

\xc2\xb7 Comprehensively assess patients\' goals as well as their biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs and financial status.

\xc2\xb7 Procures services and advocates on behalf of the patient/family for scarce resources.

\xc2\xb7 Contacts other key members of the team as needed.

\xc2\xb7 Works collaboratively with staff members involved in care of case managed population.

\xc2\xb7 Seeks peer consultation regarding cases that present problems/significant variances.

\xc2\xb7 Acts as a liaison to post-hospital care providers and community health resources. Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

\xc2\xb7 Associate Degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate, or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree program in Nursing

\xc2\xb7 Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or in a qualifying compact State.

\xc2\xb7 NCPI Certification required.

\xc2\xb7 Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts and techniques which are central to the nursing profession. Such proficiency is normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate, or Masters Degree program in Nursing.

\xc2\xb7 Skill in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care as acquired through clinical nursing experience in an acute psychiatric setting in past year.

\xc2\xb7 BLS certification
