Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Behavioral Health Services of Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience providing behavior analysis services with children and adolescents in an outpatient or home care setting and knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, evidence-based interventions, and behavior management strategies. We have clinic and in-home positions available.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention under the supervision of licensed clinicians and in accordance with the approved treatment plans

• Monitor progress towards treatment goals using data collection methods

• Use positive reinforcement to increase desired behaviors and decrease unwanted behaviors

• Design programs that incorporate evidence-based techniques and strategies

• Develop individualized behavior plans for clients

• Work collaboratively with parents/caregivers to ensure consistency with applied interventions in all surroundings

• Complete detailed documentation of ABA sessions, including data collection and progress notes

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor\'s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred

• Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred

• At least two years of experience working within an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) context is required; supervisory experience preferred

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable about behavior management strategies and techniques

• Demonstrated ability to provide effective verbal communication pertinent to professional practice

• Ability to maintain accurate records of client information

• Proven problem-solving skills both independently and collaboratively

• Excellent interpersonal skills when communicating with families, colleagues, and other professionals
